Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using any part of the Service, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old, that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms, and that you accept them in full. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

2. Use of Service

Exam.gg provides a course-aware exam preparation tool that allows you to organise course material, generate topic heatmaps, and practise with AI-generated mock exams. Access to the Service is available on a free and paid basis, subject to these Terms.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.

3. User Content

You retain ownership of all files, documents, and other material you upload to the Service ("User Content"). By uploading User Content you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, process, and display that content solely to provide the Service to you.

You are solely responsible for the User Content you upload. You represent and warrant that:

• You have the right to upload and use the content in connection with the Service.
• The content does not infringe the intellectual property rights or privacy rights of any third party.
• The content does not contain unlawful material.

We do not sell, share, or use your User Content to train third-party AI models without your explicit consent.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any regulations.
• Upload malicious code, viruses, or any software intended to damage or interfere with the Service.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure.
• Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Service without prior written permission.
• Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
• Upload content that constitutes academic dishonesty under your institution's policies.

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to the Service immediately, without notice, for any breach of these acceptable use provisions.

5. Intellectual Property

All rights, title, and interest in and to the Service (excluding User Content) — including the software, design, text, graphics, and all other content — are owned by or licensed to Examdotgg. Nothing in these Terms transfers any such rights to you. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, or exploit any part of the Service without our prior written consent.

6. Disclaimers

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

AI-generated content (heatmaps, mock exam questions, topic summaries) is produced algorithmically and may contain errors, inaccuracies, or omissions. It should not be treated as a substitute for your own judgement, your course materials, or guidance from your instructors.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Examdotgg shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

7. Refund Policy

Payments for paid plans are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited ("Paddle"), who acts as our merchant of record. When you purchase a Monthly or Semester plan, your transaction is with Paddle, subject to Paddle's Buyer Terms.

14-day refund right. You are entitled to a full refund within 14 days of any purchase — including new subscriptions (first payment) and one-time purchases — for any reason. To request a refund, email support@exam.gg with your account email and order details. We aim to respond within 3 business days. Refunds are processed by Paddle and may take up to 5–10 business days to appear.

This refund right does not apply to subsequent subscription renewal payments, in accordance with Paddle's standard buyer terms.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. For material changes we will make reasonable efforts to notify you (for example, by email or an in-app notice). Your continued use of the Service after the updated Terms take effect constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
